CATS – Domestic Longhair
The Domestic longhair cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of long fur. They tend to have a varied stature and can range anywhere from 6 to 16 pounds, though the females tend to be smaller than the males. The Domestic longhair comes in a wide array of colors, sizes, and statures, though they tend to be medium-sized and muscular. Domestic longhairs range in appearance, without one color or pattern being predominant. Some have spots, some have patches and others may have a different colored tail than the rest of their body. Their smooth, shiny coats come in a variety of colors: brown, orange, black, white, and so on. Their eyes can be hazel, blue, green or gold. The Domestic longhair cat personality spans a vast territory also. Domestic longhairs can be playful, affectionate, quiet, vocal, docile, or calm—but are often social. They are not an aggressive cat by nature, which makes them a terrific companion for everyone.
